历年专八作文真题

The important role of a city’s local conditions in the urban design

Recently there is a hot debate on a report that a foreign design company invited by a little-known mountainous area in Guiyang provided a design without paying too much attention to the city’s unique characteristics. Some people appreciate the bold innovation of the design but others do not like it. In my opinion, any urban design should take the city’s original cultural heritage into account. The designers should suit their design to local conditions and try to take advantage of the local resources.

First, a city’s regional characteristics or local cultural heritage are its symbol, its identity. In a mountainous area, too many unconventional, super-futuristic buildings will not be compatible with the city’s landscapes. Without these landscapes, it is just another so called modern city composed of concrete and steel. Take Beijing for example. In the past few years, Beijing has been removing a large number of such alleys traditionally called hutong, in order to make it become a real international city. But without these hutongs can this city still be called Beijing, an ancient capital? The disappearance of hutongs means the disappearance of a period of history, a cordial lifestyle, and even the disappearance of Beijing itself. Then Beijing will lose its uniqueness.

Second, it can help a city save a lot of money by suiting the design to local conditions and try to take advantage of the local resources. This is especially important to small cities, like this one in a mountainous area near Guiyang. We all know Guiyang is a developing city, not very rich. Unconventional, super-futuristic buildings mean large need of money input. Then more burdens may be added to this city, which will run counter to the city’s original purpose of developing itself. Instead, if connections between a city’s culture and the various urban sectors, including housing, infrastructure and governance, are well made, the maximum economic benefits will be achieved.

Besides, the modernization should be a gradual process. More haste, less speed. Nonetheless, it should not be overlooked that the shortcomings of futuristic-style constructing outweigh its advantages brought.

In conclusion, any urban design should take the city’s original cultural heritage into account. The designers should suit their design to local conditions and try to take advantage of the local resources. A scientific city design should be dependent on the city’s regional characteristics, on a case-by-case basis.

Higher Entry Fees During Peak Travel Season

In recent years, people in China have more time and money to visit famous sites of historical interest, owing to longer holidays and higher incomes. These visits, on the one hand, can enrich their own life and bring the sites substantial incomes. On the other hand, too many visits, especially during travel peaks when there are more visitors, have caused huge problems in several aspects. In my opinion, one effective solution to this problem is to charge higher fees during peak travel seasons.

For one reason, those who oppose higher fees have ignored the unique features of famous sites of historical interest. Different from the common parks, the historical spots normally imply ample historical and cultural values. The relics in these spots are so precious and fragile that they usually need special and professional preservation and administration, which obviously costs large amounts of money. During peak travel seasons, even more tourists pay visits to the historical spots. Such huge amount of people arriving at one historical spot may probably lead to some unexpected damages. Facing this situation, there is no better measure than raising the entry fees to reduce the number of tourists in peak seasons. The only purpose of charging higher entry fees is to stop some people's visits during special seasons so as to achieve a better protection of the valuable relics. With higher entry fees, some people may change their plans and give up their visits. Here economic means are applied to conserve precious things at the sites of historical interest in an appropriate and sustainable way.

For another reason, higher fees charged may effectively reduce the number of tourists visiting historical spots in peak seasons, which is also good to the safety of the tourists. Reports on the accidents happening to tourists are not new to us. Especially during peak seasons, heavy traffic of passengers poses potential threats to the life of tourists. Furthermore, relaxation is always an ultimate goal for tourists. It is almost impossible for anyone to appreciate anything in an overcrowded spot with a sea of people around. An ideal holiday may even be ruined by the hustle and bustle and endless waiting.

In short, we need to control the number of visitors especially during the peak travel seasons, to guarantee a sound protection of historical spots as well as the safety of tourists. Among others, higher entry fees may be a simple and effective economic means of regulation, which should be taken into account by the authorities. As for the tourists, this may not be so bad as it sounds

With social and economic development, our people have more time and money to visit famous sites of historical interest. Their visits, on the one hand, can enrich their own life and meanwhile bring the sites substantial incomes. On the other hand, too many visits, especially during peak travel peak when there are more visitors, have caused huge problems. One solution to this is to charge higher fees during peak travel seasons, which I think is necessary and I am in complete favor of this decision. As we all know, today there is no entrance fee charged for many parks in our country while almost all famous sites of historical interest still need an entry fee. Some people can not accept this for they think that both parks and famous sites of historical interest are part of public services. They should have free access to them or at least shouldn’t pay too much for the visit since they have already paid taxes to the government. Then it is far impossible for those people to allow the sites to charge higher fees during peak travel seasons.

On the surface, the arguments that people opposing to entry fees charged for famous sites of historical interest hold seem reasonable. But in fact, those people have ignored the unique features of famous sites of historical interest which normally imply ample historical and cultural values. Those sites differ from common parks. The relics in these sites are precious and fragile to destroy, and usually need special and professional preservation and administration, which turn out to be an expensive exercise that constantly demands resources. Entry fees must be charged. During peak travel seasons, there is no better measure than raising the entry fees to reduce the number of tourists. The purpose of charging higher fees is to stop some people’ visits so as to better protect the valuable relics and at the same time ensure the safety of the tourists. It is obvious that some people will give up their visits considering the higher fees. Here economic means are applied to conserve precious things at the sites of historical interest in an appropriate and sustainable way.

In a word, due to the unique features of relics and the need of the sustainable protection of sites of historical interest, we must control the number of visitors, especially during the peak travel seasons when there are too many tourists, to diminish the impact of human activities on these sites to its lowest level. And charging higher fees during the peak travel seasons, an effective economic means of regulation will be of great importance.

Mobile Phones Make Students Less Humane

Recently, a professor of American University conducted a survey about college students’ attitudes towards phone calls and text messaging and finally he concluded that what the students like most about their phones is that they can reach other people and what they like least is that other people can reach them. This result is seemingly contradictory, but in fact, it faithfully portrays the dilemma faced by the students, who both aspire to and are fearful of communication. In my opinion, it is nothing but the very telephone itself that is largely responsible for making students less humane by depriving them of their adaptive capacity and social acceptability.

Originally speaking, adaptability of young people to new surroundings is one of their good qualities, but nowadays they would rather resort to old friends by phone calls and text messages than actively integrate into new circumstances. It seems quite fortunate for the freshmen to have telephone contact with their old friends when they feel unaccustomed to the unfamiliarity around. Yet, the truth is that telephones provide a shelter for them to shy away from the new environment as well as taking away their opportunities to make new friends. Thus, unable to foster their adaptive capacity, many of the college students would probably fail to adapt to new working conditions once they step into society.

What’s more, the short message makes the students unable to communicate well with others in the real world. As is known to all, the Short Message Service culture features ungrammatical structures and non-standard language, which totally differs from the oral expression, thus rendering the phone freak unable to communicate fluently in real daily life. On

the other hand, since the students develop a habit of non-face-to-face communication by telephone, they are prone to social phobia because of poor oral expression and blushing face when they are in a real social context. Consequently, it is no wonder that many students turn to their telephones with an attempt to conceal their unnaturalness when they are at a dinner table or at a party.

In spite of all the adverse impact caused by the mobile phone, it is equally unwise to set a limit for the students on phone use. Anyway, it is a proven fact that the mobile phone plays an important role in our life. Therefore, in order to remove such embarrassing situation among the college students, the school authorities should offer appropriate guide about phone use and create a more positive and harmonious ambience for them, which is also beneficial for their future development.

Is a sound social environment necessary for people to be good to others?

A proverb says that "Present a rose to others, and its fragrance remains in your hands." Despite the fact that helping others has always been a traditional virtue in China, people are now becoming reluctant to help those in need for the fear of being prosecuted for unintentional injury or wrongful death. Some blame the "bad social environment" for it while others believe the social environment should be not stressed in view of helping others. So far as I am concerned, I do hold that a sound social environment is quite necessary for people to be good to others. But in the meanwhile, we individuals should take initiatives to create a harmonious society, rather than wait for it to improve passively.

On the one hand, a sound social environment is necessary in that it gives people a sense of security when they lend a helping hand. The passion for helping others never betrays us. It is a lack of legal and moral justice that prevents people from doing good things. Various reports are permeating the mass media about how good-willed citizens end up with trouble in doing good deeds, like the famous Peng Yu Case. To uphold social justice under similar situations, a sound social environment with Good

Samaritan laws is badly needed to protect those warm-hearted helpers, which can free them from worries and risks when they deliver help. In addition, the social indifference is also partly due to the long-existed hoe-one's-own-potatoes doctrine. Helpers are often left isolated and unsupported. A sound social environment that praises human kindness and trust can reduce bystanders' hesitation to assist, surely making helpers better protected.

On the other hand, it is futile to wait for the social environment to improve by itself. Just imagine how a house can be built if everybody waits idly for others to make a start. Since the society is composed of individuals, it is each individual's behavior that cultivates, protects and strengthens the social morality. The social environment would not be changed overnight without individual efforts. We had but one choice that we ourselves spare no effort in moral cultivation, protection and strengthening in order to create a harmonious social context. Only by our joint efforts to accumulate good conducts step by step can we really improve the social environment.

In conclusion, a sound social environment is necessary to encourage and protect intentions to do good deeds. With the climate of morality and credibility deteriorating in some way today, it is high time that we should actively devote ourselves to the improvement of social morality and build a harmonious society.

Challenge or Not

Recently, the Ice Bucket Challenge has gone viral all over the world, particularly in the United States, with people posting videos of themselves online and on TV participating in the event. Despite the increase of the donation to fight ALS and more public concern, some are worried about the problems found with this kind of activities. What I have seen is that they have been inserted a sense of entertainment. Personally, I propose that charitable activities, if inserted with too much entertaining elements, will probably depart from their original intentions.

This charitable blockbuster, luring hundreds of celebrities, politicians and athletes, has sparked millions of donations to ALS research and raised awareness of the disease. However, there are worries and different voices towards it. Environmentalists are concerned about the waste of water on the national level, while doctors warn people of the risks of being poured by icy water from the perspective of health.

On the one hand, we have observed that the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has rubbed some people the wrong way, especially as participants get caught up in the act of making videos rather than focusing on the essence of the charity itself. It is said that when Barack Hussein Obama took the challenge, the current American president chose to make a donation of 100 dollars rather than pouring the icy water over his head. On the other hand, the original purpose of this activity is to provide aid and support for patients suffering from the disease. Accordingly, what we should focus on is whether the ALS association begins immediate funding for families in desperate need of home health care services and other care-related services.{专八写作范文}.

As a matter of fact, after a month in the spotlight, the much-hyped ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is finally starting to show signs of cooling down. Most things in moderation are healthy and lasting, and charitable activities are no different. We should always bear the core of charity in mind: being a dutiful citizen.

My Views on the Sharing Economy

The sharing economy has been a new trend in economic activities. Many people benefit a lot through it while different people hold different opinions toward the new topic. On my personal note, with the development of the modern society and economy, the sharing economy plays an important part nowadays. My reasons are as follows.

First of all,it helps people make good use of resources. As we all know, the owners can share their available bargains with people who need for free or rent their unused

things to one another. It can make sure that many things can be used for as many times as possible instead of being abandoned in the corner.

Secondly,as the old saying goes:"The rose's in her hand, the flavor in mine."The sharing economy is just like the rose,it is the bridge between owners and recipients and offers a brand new way to help others and the owners will receive happiness at the same time. When one release the note that he need a place to stay for some time, the one who can offer him will contact him and they both can get what they want.

Last but not least, people can make more friends through this.By chatting or negotiating online, two strangers can become familiar with each other and make meaningful connections. For example,if you plan to travel and you find the man who are willing to offer you a place to stay, you will share your journey with him or

her, then you may find you two have similar outlooks on life or other similarities. You may even keep in touch with each other for a long time after the bargain.

In summary,as the Times magazine comments, the sharing economy is becoming one of 10 ideas that change the world. It brings much convenience in our daily life. From my point of view,we can take an active part in the sharing economy and take full advantage of it.

My Views on the Sharing Economy

The sharing economy refers to the economic pattern in which people share access to resources, such as goods, services and data. This newly emerging trend would be impossible without the development of technology. It is the Internet that makes the sharing cheaper and easier and helps to strike a balance between supply and demand. Time magazine has listed the sharing economy as one of the “10 ideas that will change the world”. As far as the comment is concerned, I cannot agree with Time more.

As one of the greatest benefits of the digital age, the sharing economy arises from our oldest instinct as human beings. There is always an urge for us to connect with others, especially in an era when families are scattered and we do not really know the people who live nearby. It has been said that “Joys shared with others are more enjoyed.” However, in my eyes, the resources shared with others are more beneficial to our society.

On the one hand, sharing economy leads to a more efficient use of resources. Some items are expensive to buy but widely owned by people who do not make the best use of them. Occasional sharing may provide extra income for the owners and can be less costly for the borrowers. If managed well, a win-win situation is achieved for both parties in the process. Besides, sharing economy contributes to environmental protection. Take accommodation for example. The more hotels are built, the more resources are required, which might in turn result in a decrease in arable land and public green space. On the other hand, the transaction cost is reduced due to the use of Internet and various apps. With a smart phone in your hand, it is not difficult to find a potential host in the neighboring area. People are meeting increasingly on screens, discussing online and purchasing goods domestic and overseas, paying through Internet payment system.

To summarize, although the sharing economy is not perfect at present because of concerns in

insurance, legal liability, safety and the like, I believe, quite firmly, that it represents the future trend and has the power to change the world for the convenience and flexibility it brings to us. Just as the old Chinese saying goes, the defects cannot obscure the virtues of a splendid jade, and I assume it also applies to the sharing economy.

2014 My Views on Working from Home

Nowadays, more and more companies have work-from-home or remote working polices, which means that their employees do not have to commute to work every day. As a result, some people think that this can save employees' time, in which employees are allowed to arrange their life freely, thus raising their productivity. However, others argue that only in the work places can employees communicate face to face, which vastly increase the efficiency of coordination and cooperation. So whether employees should work on their home or work on the companies, which caused a heated disscussion in society. However, in my opinion, it is better for employees work on their companies than in their homes.

We can't deny the fact that employees can't concentrate much of their attention on the works if they work in home. Because there are so many tempts arounding them, for example, their

computers, televisions, recreational facilities, and so on. Once they are working in the homes, it is likely that the company's disciplines will be ignored. However, working in the company, the employees will put all their enegetic into their works. Because compared with their home, company is a formal occasion, to which employees dare not despised.

As long as we can see, working in home, the employees are nearly isolated from the society, which is not beneficial to their works. A person, who cut off the link with the outworld, will be fall behind, and being abandoned by the world. However, working in company, the employees will get another result, whih will be satisfactorily. As the old saying goes, " The crowd pick up firewood making high fire. " It is no doubt that working in the company, the employees can

communicate face to face , in which they can get better solidarity and collaboration and get twice the result with half the effort.{专八写作范文}.

Above what we have discussed, it is easy for uc come into a conclusion that working in company can gain more benifits than working in home. As a result, we should not promote employees work from home. as a employee, they should work in company consciously.{专八写作范文}.

Is a sound social environment necessary for people to be good to others?

For thousands of years in China, helping others has been a virtue in traditional Chinese culture. But nowadays, the virtue seems no longer exist, for many people dare not offer help to those in need, for fear of getting into trouble. This issue has been a hot topic in the news, and the public is in a high fever to discuss this moral problem. Some people think that helping others is a virtue in China, we should proud of it and carry forward this culture, or it will lead to a moray degeneration. While the rest of them think helping others many get lots of unnecessary troubles which is wasting their time and money, in some situation, they may go into jail. In my point of view, people should be good to others.

There is no doubt that some tragic event was a trap by some bad people for blackmail money. The most common case is that an old lady or man was lying on the ground and claiming someone was knocked them down, then their children will ask the warm-hearted “evil man” for a pretty penny. I heard a case that a young man helps an old lady who was hit by a car, but the old lady insisted that the young man was the one who hit her. The innocent man has not proved that he is not the criminal so he lost the lawsuit, he has no choice but accept the verdict. Then the poor guy commits a suicide because he has no money for compensation. This famous case has aroused public debate over the climate of morality and credibility, and many people sigh over the moral degeneration. This case like an alarm to that kind, warm-hearted and helpful people, they wanted to give a hand but fare of getting into trouble.

As the saying goes: one good turn deserves another. Helping other is a positive energy which deserved to be carrying forward. Since every one of us is a component of the society, it is each individual’s conducts that form social morality. I believe positive emotions can be infected, once people see the others are offering help, they might get a big chance of willing to help others. Just put yourself in other’s position, if it is you who need help, what would you feel if everyone watches indifferently or suspiciously, some even just standing and taking pictures then upload? Be good to others, no only one day you might need help, but also helping others will make you feel happy and feel better about life.

In sum, I contend the idea that social environment is necessary for people to be good to others, and people should take the responsibility to offer help to those in need, then we build up a more harmonious society.

In the Information Age, the mass media have been playing an ever more important role in shaping our society. In the following excerpts, the author lists the benefits as well as the setbacks brought about by the mass media. Read the excerpts carefully and write your response in about 300 words, in which you should:

1. summarize briefly the author‟s opinions about the mass media;

2. give your comment.

organization and language quality. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in a loss of marks.

We are told the mass media are the greatest organs for enlightenment that the world has yet seen; that in Britain, for instance, several million people see each issue of the current affairs programme, Panorama. It is true that never in human history were so many people so often and so much exposed to so

many intimations about societies, forms of life attitudes other than those which obtain in their local societies. This kind of exposure may well be a point of departure for acquiring certain important intellectual and imaginative qualities, width of judgment, and a sense of the variety of possible attitudes. Yet in itself such exposure does not bring intellectual or imaginative development. It is no more than the masses of stone which lie around in a quarry and which may, conceivably, go to the making of a cathedral. The mass media cannot build the cathedral, and their way of showing the stones does not always prompt others to build. For the stones are presented within a self-contained and self-sufficient world in which, it is implied, simply to look at them, to

observe—fleetingly—individually interesting points of difference between them, is sufficient in itself.

Life is indeed full of problems on which we have to—or feel we should try to—make decisions, as citizens or as private individuals. But neither the real difficulty of these decisions, nor their true and disturbing challenge to each individual, can often be communicated through the mass media. The

disinclination to suggest real choice, individual decision, which is to be found in the mass media, is not simply the product of a commercial desire to keep the customers happy. It is within the grain of mass communication. The organs of the Establishment, however well-intentioned they may be and whatever their form (the State, the Church, voluntary societies, political parties), have a

vested interest in ensuring that the public boat is not violently rocked, and will so affect those who work within the mass media that they will be led insensibly towards forms of production which, though they go through the dispute and enquiry, do not break through the skin to where such enquiries might really hurt. They will tend to move, when exposing problems, well within the

accepted cliché assumptions of the society and will tend neither radically to question these clichés nor to make a disturbing application of them to features of contemporary life. They will stress the “stimulation” the programs give, but this soon becomes an agitation of problems for the sake of the interest of that agitation itself; they will therefore, again, assist a form of acceptance of the status quo. There are exceptions to this tendency, but they are

uncharacteristic.

The result can be seen in a hundred radio and television programs as plainly as in the normal treatment of public issues in the popular press.

Different levels of background in the readers or viewers may be assumed, but what usually takes place is a substitute for the process of arriving at judgment. Programs such as this are noteworthy less for the “stimulation” they offer than for the fact that that stimulation (repeated at regular intervals) may become a substitute for, and so a hindrance to, judgments arrived at and tested in the mind and on the pulses. Mass communications, then, do not ignore intellectual matters; they tend to castrate them, to allow them to sit on the side of the fireplace, sleek and useless, a family plaything.

My Views on the Mass Media

Undeniably, the mass media have been greatly influencing our lives.{专八写作范文}.

However, in essence, they don‟t prompt intellectual development for the sake of their poor power of offering solutions to our real troubles in real life. This inability lies in the grain of communication which has been invented to pacify rather than agitate the masses. So with few exceptions, the mass media, instead of stirring intellect among their users, choose to castrate it, making themselves useless pastimes.

A century or so ago, a book named The Crowd written by LeBon shocked the world into a new recognition about the role the controlling power played in influencing the masses. A century later, that controlling power puts on a new vest and calls itself the mass media.

While we hail the juggernaut of information thanks to its ubiquity, more sober minds worry about suffocating whiff the mass media puff. More often than before, we witness several reversals of the same story publicized by the media, which is so twisting that it can rank a Hollywood movie. Due to their haste to catch the public attention, many mass media lose their

professionalism of accuracy to rash reports. For example, some irresponsible editors base their reports on unreliable sources to cry wolf to cater to the prying eyes, only to make themselves subject to later mockery. Worse still, owing to the strict censorship, the so-called visceral truth-telling may turn out to be a thinly or thickly veiled lie to serve some purposes. “So wicked it looks

loyal; so fake it looks real” speaks true of some if not many pieces of information the mass media presented.

All in all, bad omens though these may sound from doom-mongers, the mass media, as the most powerful mouthpiece of one group or another, cannot withdraw themselves from us. It is us, who are equipped with better-nurtured minds, that should choose to digest the news they offer.

Bad Characters

Some Chinese Forget How to Write

Calligraphy has been a revered art form in China for centuries. Children are taught to write with brushes; endless copying of characters is a rite of passage in their schooling. Writing is a feat of memory. Mastery requires

learning thousands of unique characters. Despite these ordeals, literacy rates have increased from around 20% in 1949 to over 95% now. But computers,

smartphones and tablets are posing a new obstacle to progress. Penmanship is on the decline. Reading skills may follow.

Pundits all over the world blame a reliance on computers for shoddy handwriting and spelling. In China the problem is particularly acute. The number of primary schoolchildren with severe reading difficulties is rising, according to a 2012 study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The authors linked poor reading scores to increased use of keyboards.

One reason is that learning to write is so arduous. Chinese uses

ideograms, or characters, rather than an alphabet, to represent each syllable. An ideogram is a graphic symbol that represents an idea or concept,

independent of any particular language, and specific words or phrases. Some ideograms are comprehensible only by familiarity with prior convention; others convey their meaning through pictorial resemblance to a physical object, and thus may also be referred to as pictograms. It normally takes six years of primary education to master the 3 ,000 or so characters required to read a newspaper.

Nowadays Chinese can use keyboards to type a word in pinyin, a

Romanisation of Chinese words that reflects sounds but not appearance. They then select the right character from a list. This process does not reinforce how to write the separate strokes that make up a character, and may even disrupt the process of remembering, says Wai Ting Siok of the University of Hong Kong. Ms. Siok predicts that on current trends literacy levels will begin declining within ten years.

The problem is already evident. A government body helped to launch a popular television spelling show that pits middle-school students against each other to write difficult words; in one episode in July more than 50% of the adult audience incorrectly drew a two-character word meaning “gossip”, feiwen. Over the past century, some have campaigned to raise literacy by

replacing characters with an alphabet. That remains unlikely. Homophones are

专八作文范文

Should a person make an important decision alone?

A person should never make an important decision alone, important decisions should be well thought out. People who know you well, know what is best for you, and close to you can give you good advice, give you a different prespective, or share their own experience.

When I had difficulty deciding which classes to take in collage, I talked to my teachers and advisors, they had the knowledge and expertise to help me determine which classes were the best ones to take for my future career. Without their advice, I might have chosen unsuitable courses. In collage, I had convinced myself that I was not good enough to act in the school play. Therefore, I decided not to audition even though drama had always been my passion. The day of the auditon, a friend of mine asked me why I was not auditioning. When I told her I did not feel I was good enough, she was shocked, she was able to provide me with another perspectiove on myself and my talents. I rethought my decision and tried out….and got a lead in the play.

Last year when I was trying to decide whether or not I should study overseas, I talked to my friend. This was the best thing I could have done. This was a big decisition for me because I had never been overseas on my own and I was not sure if I could do it. She had studied overseas the precious year. She told me about the challenges and opportunities I might encourter and helped me make the right decision. I went and it was amazing.

Whenever I am faced with an important decision, I seek advice from others so that I am well-informed and have the benefit of their perspectiove and experience.

My opnion on advertisement

Advertisements appear everywhere in modern society. There are many way to advertise and ads come in different forms. Newspapers and billboards carry advertisements; some products are announced on TV and radio which have a wide audience. Advertising is a big industry and many agencies are set up for furnish a variety of services for it.

However, advertising is not welcome sometimes. A most irritating thing is to watch advertisements before and during films on TV. There are so many of them that they make you forget what you are sitting there for. The ironical thing is that advertisements of one type of things are often shown one after another so that you are confused as to which product you should choose. What’s more, advertising is not always truthful. The advertisers exaggerate the benefits of the merchandise they want to sell in order to gain more profits. Thus the consumer falls victim to such advertising.

Although there are disadvantages of ads, we can not forget the advantages and the conveniences they bring to us. First, by telling us where something is available, they may save us money and time. They guide us in finding suitable jobs and other information as well. Secondly, a wide range of activities and institutions receive finanical support through advertising. Without this support we would have to pay much more for newspaters and sports games. Thirdly, perfect advertisements even provide entertainment. A considerable amount of effort goes into their production. So in most cases the photography is truly artistic, the slogans are genuinely witty, and the situations are decidely funny.

Generally speaking, advertisements have become one of the most authoritative voices speaking to us today. Let us make our life easier by learning to choose proper ads, and be the master of advertisements, not their salve.
